2008 Summer Undergraduate Internship programs

Our group actively participates in a variety of outreach programs.
These include Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) programs, Summer Undergraduate Internship programs, and K-14 outreach through public presentations at such events as CalDay, Nano Camp for High School Students, Berkeley City College and via involvement with Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth.
We actively collaborate with the Exploratorium Science Museum in San Francisco, by delivering general public seminars and open forums regarding the societal, and technological impact of Nanoscience and nanotechonology.
Nicola Ferralis leads the NanoEnergy open forums at the Exploratorium aimed at presenting the benefits and risk of nanotechnology-based energy sources and storage systems, as compared to conventional and alternative solutions.
COINS Summer Undergraduate Resarch Internship
Nicola Ferralis has been the co-organizer of COINS undergraduate internship program (summer 2007, 2008). During the program, he lead an undergraduate workshop on "scientific writing".
